Ian Sutherland has been producing high quality programming for Network Television since 1985 and has a broad range of expertise in all aspects of non linear editing.

Since transplanting from his home town of Edinburgh in Scotland, he honed his videography skills initially in the underwater realm, as a result of his love for scuba diving.

Owning a retail dive store in Winnipeg, Manitoba provided him with many valuable experiences and his caring for detail is legendary. The words 'cannot be done' are not in his vocabulary.

Elizabeth Sutherland learned her craft as a result of her many years as Wardrobe Supervisor in some of the most world renowned theatres.

From London, England to Halifax, Nova Scotia, the Manitoba Theatre Centre and Rainbow Stage in Winnipeg, she learned the art of design elements of period costumery.

Bringing these design skills into the art of professional videography was an easy transition. Knowing where to position the camera at precisely the correct time lets her capture these magic moments.

From his digital camera work, titling, composition of imagery and sound mixing to the finished project, all elements are brought together and every aspect of detail is meticulously fine-tuned to perfection.

She can somehow accomplish this task while remaining totally unobtrusive.

Polishing the final results in the editing studio also brings out her special skills, mixing the action to produce a masterpiece.
The combination of technical know how and outstanding design sense was a match made in heaven. Both Elizabeth and Ian double team every production, no matter if the client is a major corporation or a blushing bride. A highly skilled videographer, Elizabeth can capture camera angles that most videographers never dreamed of and has a sixth sense for what will appear pleasing to the eye.
During the editing process, Ian and Elizabeth's unique skills are married together. After 26 years of happiness as husband and wife, there is little need for discussion. Each understands the other's thought pattern, so blending the raw footage into a highly polished story is more a matter of arranging on the computer what has already been visualized in the mind's eye. Very similar to transforming tubes of oil paint into a beautiful portrait on a canvas.
